A hotel and various office and retail buildings are proposed for a 209-acre business park on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community located just east of Scottsdale.

The Pima Center development is a partnership between 202 Indian community members and Mainspring Capital Group, a Phoenix-based commercial developer.

The property is bordered by Pima Road, Loop 101 and Via De Ventura. The project is expected to generate $5 million annually in lease payments to the community members. Work on streets and utilities is expected to start in early 2004, and buildout is expected to take eight years.

The proposed design includes 4 million square feet for a hotel and retail, office and flexible-use buildings. Mainspring Capital partner Gerry Blomquist said his company already is receiving calls from possible tenants and developers.
